Sport
Sport at Montmorency Secondary College is a strong and integral part of the College curriculum.
Sport offers benefits in every curriculum area, challenging critical thinking skills, decision making, and moral reasoning. Participation in sport leads students to develop many fundamental skills such as teamwork, participation, goal-setting and reliability. It instils in them a desire to excel and encourages student involvement and enjoyment of sport and exercise. The introduction of sport in the school environment, particularly through team activities, also provides students with a social network based on common interests, skill development and collaboration with others.
Montmorency Secondary College conducts a broad range of school sporting programs in collaboration with School Sports Victoria, a sub-committee of the Department of Education and Training. Together, our aim is to encourage and offer school sport for all students at the College with a view to improving their overall health and wellbeing.
