Performing Arts
Montmorency Secondary College’s Performing Arts faculty presents an annual production. For many students, being involved in a school production can be an enriching experience. It allows them to develop a wide range of skills, including teamwork, creativity, self-confidence, and discipline. Working with other students towards a common goal can assist in building strong friendships and a sense of community. Additionally, being part of the school production allows students to showcase their talents and interests in front of a live audience, providing them with a sense of accomplishment and pride. Whether acting, singing, dancing, performing in the band, working backstage or in lighting and sound, choreographing, or constructing the sets, being involved in a school production can help students develop valuable life skills that will benefit them long after their school days have gone.
In recent years, the College has presented some very popular and successful productions, including, The SpongeBob Musical, Matilda, Little Shop of Horrors and Shrek Jnr.
We look forward to presenting further wonderful productions over the coming years and allowing students to showcase their talents and love of performing. These productions not only benefit the students who participate but also add to the culture and vibrancy of our school community.
